Anime Expeditions Material Crafting & Trials Guide: The Ultimate Evolution Blueprint
Summoning a Mythic character in Anime Expeditions is only half the battle. The true endgame power spike comes from Evolution. Evolving a unit grants massive stat boosts and completely changes how they perform on the field by unlocking powerful new passive abilities.
However, evolution demands a strict combination of base materials, colored Sprites, and exclusive items locked behind challenging Unit Trials. Here is exactly how to navigate the crafting system and trials to build a dominant roster.
The Crafting System & Sprite Economy
Crafting takes place in the Upgrades area of the main lobby. This system allows you to combine lower-tier materials into the exact items you need for your roster. You can perform these conversions infinitely, provided you have the base resources.
The entire crafting economy revolves around Sprites:
- Grey Sprites (Epic): The foundational currency of the game. Do not waste these early on. You will use Grey Sprites to craft every other colored variant.
- Colored Sprites: Blue, Green, Red, Yellow, Pink, and Purple. Most standard unit evolutions require 20 of two specific colors.
- Rainbow Sprites (Mythic): The ultimate bottleneck. Almost every evolution requires at least one Rainbow Sprite, with top-tier secrets demanding more.
1.Farm the Base Materials:
Run Weekly Challenges and Mastery Stages. These are currently the most reliable sources for accumulating bulk Grey Sprites and occasional direct Rainbow Sprite drops.
2.Check the Preview Menu:Prevents wasting materials on the wrong color.
Before crafting anything, open the Evolve section and preview your target unit. This reveals their exact required Sprite colors and the passive ability they will unlock.
3.Utilize Quick Craft:
If you have the base Grey Sprites but lack the specific colors, use the “Quick Craft” button directly inside the evolution menu to instantly convert your materials without navigating back to the main crafting UI.
Conquering Unit Trials
Even with all the Sprites in the world, you cannot evolve key units without their signature items. This is where Unit Trials come in.
Accessible via the Quests menu under the Unit tab, Unit Trials are strictly single-player challenges. You cannot bring your overpowered main roster into these fights. Instead, the game forces you to clear the stage using a preset team while navigating unique stage effects and modifiers.
Currently, there are 9 specific Unit Trials in the game. Beating a trial guarantees the exclusive evolution item tied to that specific character.
